- Sow indoors from late spring (April–May in temperate climates) once soil and air temperatures are consistently above 18 °C.

- How: Use small pots or seed trays, sow 1 seed per cell/pot, about 1.5–2 cm deep.

- Medium: A light, well-drained seed compost. Keep moist but never waterlogged.

- Germination: Seeds germinate in 5–8 days at 22–25 °C.

THIN

- No thinning usually required if sown individually.

- If several seeds are sown together, thin to the strongest seedling.

PLANT OUT

- Transplant seedlings when they have 3–4 true leaves.

- Choose a pot of at least 5–7 liters (bigger if possible) or plant into a container/bed.

- Ensure good drainage.

EXPOSURE

- Requires full sun (minimum 6–8 hours daily).

- Sheltered, warm position preferred—balconies, patios, greenhouses, or sunny gardens.

TEMPERATURE

- Optimal growth between 20–28 °C.

- Protect from cool nights (<15 °C) with fleece or greenhouse cover.

SUPPORT

- Although compact, Cumini F1 benefits from light support.

- Grow up a short trellis, canes, or netting to keep fruits clean and save space.

- In pots, a single bamboo stake works well.

PRUNING

- Minimal pruning needed.

- Pinch the growing tip when plants reach the top of their support to encourage branching and more fruiting sites.

- Remove yellowing leaves to maintain airflow.

WATER

- Regular, even watering is essential. Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy.

- Avoid wetting leaves to reduce disease pressure.

- Mulching the surface helps retain moisture.

FEED

- Begin liquid feeding (tomato or cucumber fertilizer) once flowers appear.

- Feed every 7–10 days throughout cropping for continuous yields.

PROTECT

- Cumini F1 has high resistance to Powdery Mildew, CVYV, and Cladosporium, plus intermediate resistance to CYSDV and CMV.

- Still, maintain good airflow and avoid overcrowding.

- Protect from cucumber beetles, aphids, and slugs using barriers or organic sprays if needed.

- Timing: First fruits ready about 6 weeks after sowing.

- Harvest cucumbers at 9–10 cm for best flavor and crunch.

- Pick frequently (every 2–3 days) to encourage continuous fruiting.

- Expect 3–5 fruits per internode on compact vines, ensuring high yields.
